Embrace! Church of San AntonioAt Embrace! Church we trust that you will find yourself right at home. Here, you will meet real authentic people with a desire to know God more and help each other along the way.
Below, you will find some things that will make your first visit a little easier.
Then, help us by filling out the questionnaire so we can pray for you and your family/guests by name as we get things ready for your visit.
Embrace! Church is located on Fredericksburg Rd in Balcones Heights. We are in the Wonder Plaza between Chick-Fill-a and Wendy’s and across the street from the Wonderland Mall and Whataburger.
The suite for Embrace! Church is #8 and is in the same row of suites as the Salon & the Gym.

During our time on Sunday our Worship Leader along with our musicians will begin the service by leading us all in singing. There will also be special music sung by our Worship Team and/or soloists.
We will then hear preaching from our Pastor with a message from the Bible. The Bible reading will be projected on the screens so you can follow along as it is read. If you have a Bible you are welcome to use it. We can also give you a Bible to keep if you like, or feel free to use a Bible App on your phone or tablet.
Preaching is important because it leads us to a cross roads where we have opportunity to make good choices in our lives. Time will be given for us to respond in personal, silent prayer to God. You may also take communion during this time, leave a prayer requests in the prayer box, or light a candle in prayer or in memory of. Embrace! Church has an open communion which means everyone is invited to take communion if they would like.
Our entire Time of Worship usually lasts about 1hr & 15min.
Dress
There is no dress code at Embrace! Church and you will find a wide variety of attire during our time together.
We would just ask that you dress comfortably and properly for a public gathering.
Children
If you have children too young to stay in our main service, they may be dismissed once the music service is over for a time of kid friendly activities in our flex room.
Embrace! Church is rooted in the Bible. It is important for proper understanding of our faith and in growing as Christians. During our Time in the Word, we will read a portion of the Scripture together. Questions may be asked (to no one in particular) by Pastor to help get us thinking. General discussion is encouraged & welcomed. This is a time for us to learn, talk, and grow in our understanding of God’s Word and how we can practically use it in our everyday lives.
After our time in the Word, we devote the last bit of time to praying for each other, family, and friends and also expressing our gratitude for the blessings in our lives.

Joseph Cuestas is the founding Pastor of Embrace! Church. He was burdened and led by the Holy Spirit to begin a church that was not only affirming, but also rooted in God’s Word. He studied for four years in Pastoral Theology & Music at a private Bible college in North West Indiana.
Shortly thereafter, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, and honorably served for five years as a Cyber Network Operator (MOS 0651). He participated in several state side exercises and one overseas deployment to Afghanistan. He attained the rank of Sergeant (E5).
After the military, Pastor Cuestas moved to San Antonio and enrolled at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He graduated in 2019 with a BA degree in History. He is a certified teacher in the State of Texas.
