We are a Spirit-led, biblically centered community grounded in the inspired Word of God and the redeeming love of Jesus. While we hold to foundational Christian beliefs\u2014including the Trinity, salvation by grace, and the open table of communion\u2014we believe the gospel is fundamentally a message of radical inclusion. God is no respecter of persons, and neither are we. LGBTQ individuals are fully embraced here, not with exceptions or limitations, but with an open invitation to lead, serve, and exercise their spiritual gifts in every capacity of our church.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Statement of Faith<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

1.<\/b>The scriptures inspired.<\/b>\u00a0The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to all people, in its original language infallible. Today, it is an authoritative rule of faith and conduct.\u00a0 (2 Timothy 3:15, 2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Peter 2:2).<\/span><\/h2><\/div><\/div>

2.<\/b>The one true God.<\/b>\u00a0The one true God has revealed himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed \u201cI AM\u201d and has further revealed Himself as God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit who indwells the believer.\u00a0 (Deuteronomy 6:4, Mark 12:29, Isaiah 43:10, Isaiah 11, Matthew 28:19).<\/b><\/p>

3.<\/b>Humanity, their fall and redemption.<\/b>\u00a0Humanity was created good and upright. For God said, \u201cLet Us make man in our image, after our likeness.\u201d But we, by voluntary disobedience, fell and our only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God (Genesis 1:26-31, Genesis 3:1-7, Romans 5:12-21).<\/b><\/p>

4.<\/b>The salvation of humanity.<\/b><\/p>

  • Conditions of Salvation.<\/b>\u00a0The grace of God, which brings salvation, has appeared to all.\u00a0 By repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, which brings the renewing work of the Holy Spirit; having confidence in an abundant life now and in life eternal.\u00a0 (Titus 2:11, Romans 10:13-15, Luke 24:47, Titus 3:5-7).<\/b><\/li>
  • Evidence of salvation.<\/b> The inward evidence to the believer of their salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit and peace with God (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence to all people is a life led and changed by the Spirit.<\/li><\/ul>


    5.<\/b>Baptism in water.<\/b>\u00a0Baptism is an outward expression of an inward experience.\u00a0 It represents the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.\u00a0 It is merely a symbol of God\u2019s inner working and is not required for God\u2019s saving grace.\u00a0 It is, however, strongly encouraged as an act of obedience in our faith.\u00a0 (Matthew 28:19, Acts 10:47, Acts 48, Romans 6:4, Acts 20:21, Hebrews 10:22).<\/p>

    6.<\/b>The Lord\u2019s Supper.<\/b>\u00a0The Lord\u2019s Supper is a memorial of His suffering and death (1 Corinthians 11:26) and a prophecy of His second coming (1 Corinthians 11:26). It consists of the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine and is open to all.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>

    7.<\/b>A Life of Progress.<\/b>\u00a0The scriptures teach a life of personal holiness.\u00a0 By the power of the Holy Spirit we all are able to obey God\u2019s commands. Sanctification is the will of God for all believers and should be pursued by walking in obedience to God\u2019s personal leading by the Holy Spirit. Sanctification is experienced in basically three ways:<\/b><\/p>

    • Our Standing with God.<\/b>\u00a0This is what happens to every person who puts their trust in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. When we are saved through faith in Jesus, we are sanctified in the eyes of God through the blood of Christ. As God the Father looks at us, He sees the holiness of Jesus, which is imputed to us, and does not see our sin (Hebrews 10:10, Hebrews 14).<\/b><\/li>
    • Our Standing in Life.<\/b>\u00a0This is the process by which we strive to live on a day to day basis by considering ourselves dead to our old nature and alive to God in holy living through the power of God\u2019s presence within our lives (Romans 6; Philippians 2:12, Philippians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:3, 2 Peter 1:4).<\/b><\/li>
    • Our Standing in Heaven.<\/b>\u00a0This is when we are totally set free from the presence of sin within our life after seeing Jesus our Lord and being made like Him because of seeing Him as He really is in all His glory (1 John 3:2).

      <\/b><\/li><\/ul>

      8.<\/b>The church.<\/b>\u00a0 The church is the body of Christ which exists to fulfill the great commission.\u00a0 Each member has a vital part in encouraging, equipping and empowering those who are within and reaching those who are without. (Ephesians 1:22, Ephesians 1:23, Ephesians 2:22, Hebrews 12:23).<\/b><\/p>

      9.<\/b>The Promise.<\/b>\u00a0Jesus promises to return and gather His church to Himself.\u00a0 Those who have died will be raised again and those who are alive will be caught up to meet Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16, 1 Thessalonians 4:17, Titus 2:12, 1 Corinthians 15:51, Romans 8:23).<\/b><\/p>

      10.The Reign of Jesus.<\/b>\u00a0Jesus will come again to rule and reign physically on Earth.\u00a0 (2 Thessalonians 1:17, Revelation 19:11-14, Romans 11:26, Romans 11:27, Revelation 20:1-7).<\/p>

      11.The Inclusiveness of God.\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>God is no respecter of persons.\u00a0 God is for all people and all nations.\u00a0 Therefore, all can experience the fullness and grace of God in their lives regardless of age, sex, gender identity, national origin, sexual orientation, economic status, or any other categorical label that could be used.\u00a0 As such, all are invited and welcome to exercise their spiritual gifts in service to Embrace! Church as they are led (2 Chronicles 19:7, Job 34:19, Romans 2:10-11, Galatians 5:6, 1 Peter 1:17).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
